Prayer Life

“The vocation to consecrated life arises from a deep relationship with Christ, in contemplating Him, and it is by remaining in this intimate relationship with Him that our vocation can mature.” -SFMA Constitutions-

“ All of us “in every place, at every hour, at all times, each day without ceasing, truly and humbly believe, we hold in our hearts and we love, honour, adore, serve, praise and bless, glorify and exalt, magnify and thank the Highest and Supreme eternal God, Three and One, Father and Son and Holy Spirit”. -SFMA Constitutions-

As we strive to combine intimately contemplation and apostolic action there is a program set for communal prayer. The day begins and ends in prayer, interspaced with work. We are committed to celebrating of the Eucharist daily, singing of the divine praises; lauds, vespers and compline.

We have great devotion to Mary our mother thus devotion and love for the rosary. Eucharistic Adoration helps us to praise and bless the Lord. Mediation on the word of God sustains and inspires the work we do and our being. Each sister is also required to spend time daily in private prayer.

We believe in the power of prayer. Pray for us as we also pray for you.

Share with us your prayer intention.

We pray for you

We include you and all our website readers in our prayers. If you’d like us to offer a special prayer of thanks, praise or petition to God for you, please contact us.

Make me an instrument of your peace – St. Francis  of Assisi

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
and where there is sadness, joy.

O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek
to be consoled as to console;
to be understood as to understand;
to be loved as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive;
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.

Amen.

We the Franciscan Missionary Sisters of Assisi are called to live with perfection what the Spirit has given the church through St. Francis; minority, love of the cross, poverty, and a desire to perfectly live the gospel of Christ.
